The Two New Givenchy Fragrances of 2010...

This Perfume campaign for Eaudemoiselle De Givenchy definitely caught my attention for a variety of reasons. As soon as I saw it, I had to do a double take... Why is Magdalena Frackowiak wearing a long black cloak on what appears to be a beautiful, summer day? By the way she is dressed you expect to see her walking through a cemetery...

This campaign has a very old, aristocratic feel. However, this is contrasted by the youthfulness of the model and the modern style of the perfume bottle... What are your thoughts on this campaign?

The second designer fragrance by Givenchy is called "Dance With Givenchy," and is shown below.

The model in this campaign is Kelsey Van Mook. Her pose reminds me of those old fashioned jewelery boxes with the ballerinas inside that spin and play music... However the model's outfit is very contemporary with sleek cut lines and all black. Maybe Givenchy is trying to demonstrate the past and the present coming together in these ads? Old fashioned with a contemporary twist perhaps?

What are your thoughts? Which perfume would you buy?

I probably wouldn't buy either as I'm pretty stuck in my ways with perfume, but I love the first ad.

I love the black cloak. Don't think I would buy either. I am so in love and happy with my scent at the moment. I only wear scents by Annick Goutal;-)

I think the first campaign has a more dramatic feel to it. Drama does sell. The second one is a little casual, and the model looks like she's about to break into pieces. I like her clothes tho (:

I think I'd probably buy the second perfume, just because the model is actually moving in the photo. I'll have to do a scent test first tho. Some perfumes are way too overpowering, others really ... weak. But I'm a noob when it comes to perfume hehe. I still use body mists.

Thanks for stopping by, love!

fantastic interpretation.

i like the first one, just because the colors are so soft and the model is so "aristocratic" and dark.

the second one looks more "typical."

so i'd buy the first one, it just appeals to my eyes :D

Umm, they're okay. The campaigns, i.e. Compared to the stunning clothes ads, the fragrances ones are kind of dull and overplayed. Just IMO, though.

I wear Chloe myself. But, I love this dark mysterious ad... am I engaged enough to purchase it? NO.
